Recipe From: The Fire Hub

Ingredients:

1 lb green beans
1/2 cup crushed tomatoes
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 tbsp fresh oregano
3 tbsp fresh basil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 tbsp butter

Directions:

  1. Heat oil in a large sauté pan. Add beans to oil, and sauté for about 3 minutes until beans start to soften.

  2. Add garlic to beans, and when garlic just starts to brown add crushed tomatoes. Cook for 30 seconds before adding the butter.

  3. Add dry spices, salt and pepper, and continue to cook until green beans are cooked to al dente.

Note:

If garlic or tomatoes start to get too dark, adding a splash of water can help slow the browning process as the beans cook.
