We have an important update regarding the Kalamazoo Farmers Market-

After 13 incredible years, PFC Grocery & Deli will no longer be managing the Kalamazoo Farmers Market beginning in May. The City of Kalamazoo has indicated that it plans to award the market contract to Gamsho Group, operators of Park Street Market and Midtown Fresh.

Congratulations are in order as we wish Gamsho Group all the best as they take on this role as stewards of one of Kalamazoo’s most important facilities.

The Kalamazoo Farmers market has never just been a job or a contract to us—it has been a labor of love, a place we’ve poured our energy, passion, and care into every single week for over a decade. We’ve built relationships with farmers who trusted us with their livelihoods, vendors who grew their businesses alongside the market, and customers who became familiar faces, friends, and part of our extended community.

We are proud—so proud—of what we’ve built together over the past 13 years. From expanding access to fresh, local food, to supporting small businesses, to creating a space where our community could gather, celebrate, and connect—this market has always been about more than just buying and selling. It’s been about belonging.

To our customers: thank you for showing up, week after week, season after season. Your support and trust have meant everything to us.

To our vendors, partners, and staff: we are endlessly grateful for your dedication, resilience, and heart. This community exists because of you. Over the years, we have worked together to build something truly special: a vibrant, welcoming space that supports local agriculture, small businesses, and our broader community. While we will not be operating the market moving forward, we remain incredibly proud of the relationships we’ve built and the work we’ve done alongside all of you. Thank you for your dedication, your partnership, and for being an essential part of the market’s story.

We also want to remind everyone that we are still operating the Winter Market through its final day on April 25, and we hope to see you there as we close out the season together.
