INGREDIENTS:
Handful of baby spinach leaves
2 small beets or large
10 blackberries or fruit in season
Juice of 1 lemon
1 cup of unsweetened milk
1 tbsp. Greek yogurt
4-5 ice cubes
Optional mix-ins: chia, hempseed, and/or ground flaxseed or 2 tbsp. oatmeal flakes
DIRECTIONS:
Peel the beets and cut in half - cut into smaller pieces for easy blending.
You may steam the beets before using so that they are softer and puree more smoothly.
Add all ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth.
